I make porn. I know you’re impressed…

I quit my dayjob recently (a few days ago) and guaranteed my swift, and most certain, financial destruction. Why?

Not because I’m a pussy, but because OF pussy. Not the feline variety. Read the story here, and see the results here.

You can’t follow your dreams if you stand on the corner, waiting for just the right taxi to come by. I promise, you’re dreams won’t slow down to wait for you to make up your mind.

I too have wanted to do porn.
The web management and merchandise, even the production and distribution seem pretty straight forward.

What I wanted to know about is the model interaction,
    what media ads work?
How to draft a model release/shoot agreement?
What documentation is required ? (birth certificate/drivers license/passport?) reliability or standard STD testing practices?

Obviously no girl is going to do a “casting couch” thing for free, what are standard scene/shoot rates ?

Ugh. I sound like such a clueless dolt. If you put out an ebook or pamphlet with these specifics I’d buy it. I don’t really expect you to answer all this for free.

    Keep being awesome.

    • Hi Benny,
Sorry it took so long for me to reply to your questions.

Model interaction: If you mean on-set etiquette and such, it’s professional. You’re hiring models to act out a scenario and create a fantasy. They’re professional performers. That’s how you interact with them. Sure, she’s there to “fuck”, but it’s to create a product. Treat them with respect, you’ll get the same back.

Media ads: I’m no expert here, and I’m asking the same questions. This blog is creating SEO, and that’s part of it.

These next couple answers are dependent upon where you are. US, Canada, Europe, but all likely similar.

Model release: these are pretty substantial legal documents, and they’re carefully worded. Best thing to do is once you’ve determined the kind of content you want to shoot, review the needs with a lawyer, and base it on a standard model release with the content-specifics pertaining to the sex-acts you plan. Is it all solo, does she have to fuck, photos, videos, etc.

Models: you’ll need ID that’s current and has photos. It needs their DOB, so it’s clear he/she’s over 18 (or 19, 21, whatever for your area indicates).

Tests: blood and urine for all STDs and HIV, within 15 – 30 days of shooting is recommended.

Rates: that depends on you, the model and what you’re going to shoot. Solos, around $300. Girl/girl hardcore, $4-500 each. Boy/girl hardcore around $6-800 (the guy, typically $200).

You’re not a dolt – we all go through this. Make sense?
